How To Check If Nsfas Approved Or Rejected Your 2024 Application
As a result, prioritizing your application’s progress is just as important, and here’s how to do it.
- On the myNSFAS portal, log in to your NSFAS account
- Sign in with your username and password
- You can track the progress of your funding by clicking on ‘Track Funding Progress’
- Upon clicking on the ‘Track Funding Progress’ option, you will receive one of several application statuses.
NSFAS will then display one of two statuses, ‘Application Approved’ or ‘Application Unsuccessful’.
Application Approved
The NSFAS ‘Application Approved’ status indicates that your NSFAS application was processed and that, after checking, NSFAS determined that you are provisionally approved for funding.
Upon submission of your registration data to NSFAS by your institution, payment will be processed to cover you and your studies.
Application Unsuccessful
Your status will be ‘Application unsuccessful’ if the bursary scheme has not approved your application. You do not meet one or more of the funding criteria, according to the funding criteria.
If NSFAS needs to take any additional steps to approve or reject your funding application, or if additional supporting documentation or information is required to complete and process your application, you will be notified.
Bursary scheme applicants are encouraged, however, to appeal if they feel their application was unfairly denied. The deadline for appeals is Monday, 20 February 2024.
